TVC 614.6: From March 2012: Ed plays audio highlights of George Maharis’ appearance on the May 18, 1962 edition of PM East, the New York-based late night television talk show hosted by Mike Wallace, in which Maharis discussed what he may have done with his life had he not pursued acting, and why he was thinking of leaving Route 66 at the end of the third season. (Though he did not know it at the time he spoke to Wallace, Maharis would end up leaving the series in the middle of the third season, following a near-fatal release of hepatitis.)
