The Vincent Kompany era got off to a very impressive start at the John Smith's Stadium as Burnley dominated last season's Championship playoff finalists Huddersfield Town.

It was only 1-0 but in truth it could and and should have been more, with Barnes, Roberts and Twine all missing chances to put the game to bed.

But the first half especially was brilliant by Burnley who passed Huddersfield to death and pressed the life out of them when they had the ball - it was a completely different Clarets side than what we're used to, but we're here for it.
