The week the crew gets together to discuss “Judas and the Black Messiah” currently streaming on HBOMax for a limited time, and we definitely say watch this shit before it goes. The movie shows the city of Chicago during a time where we saw the rise of black revolutionaries like Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale. The movie focuses however on Chi-Town’s very own Fred Hampton (the black messiah) and the selfish nature of the very people he’s starting to liberate, personified in William O’Neil (Judas). You will be captivated by the passion in which he Fred speaks, hanging on to every infliction and note as if he was telling you how to get another stimulus check. Get lost in the duplicitous nature of Judas as he deceives the Fred and the panthers with his lies and deflections. And that’s the conversation. What happens when the people you want to help betray you.
