Case 105. Diplomat Hotel Philippines - Haunted by War Crimes and Torture

Built on a hill with a panoramic view overlooking Baguio City, the Diplomat Hotel is considered one of the most haunted places in the Philippines.

Its history dates back to 1911 when it was constructed as a retreat house by the Dominican Order in a 17-hectare land previously belonging to American locals. 

Many people state that they have seen headless apparitions inside the hotel during the night when they have been inside the abandoned building.

Even when the building was a hotel employees and guests also stated that they often heard weird sounds coming from the building, especially near the fountain.

Apart from that, people living nearby claim that they would hear the banging of doors and windows, clattering of dishes and

voices of screaming people – people in pain.

Torturous screams!

The Philippines is a country of long held superstitious beliefs and curses that can be placed upon them by crossing the dead.

Imagine then, a place filled with murdered souls that sits overlooking a grand city - a place filled with restless spirits.

Would you go there to visit?

Apparently, a lot of tourists do just that, they go specifically looking for an experience at the old Diplomat Hotel. 

Let’s head on into the abandoned building, one last time, before it goes under a huge renovation later this year and the ghosts are forced to look for a new home.
