Nancy Crampton Brophy is among the most duplicitous of dames, and you guessed it – she left a trail of “I did it” bread crumbs for detectives. As both an aspiring romance/thriller writer and an insurance sales person she thought she could write a different ending to her story. Much like her reportedly fumbling attempts in the literary world it didn't quite work out like she planned. When she murdered her husband Daniel Craig Brophy we bet she never expected her dumb mistakes would bring her to justice for committing a crime against one of the culinary greats of the Portland foodie scene. The recent turn of events, complete with savory details from the trial and her downfall has far too satisfying an ending not to share.
