Homebrewed Christianity is proud, pumped, thrilled and down right tickled to release the first episode of the new podcast stream. The LectioCast will be a weekly podcast that tackles the lectionary texts for the upcoming week. With the good Dr. Daniel Kirk leading the exegetical charge we are sure that the preachers, teachers, and small group leaders who work with the lectionary each week will be getting some great Bible geek content each week. Plus if you just like reading the Bible you can listen, enjoy and share it as well.

#LectioCast aims to get your sermon/service prep jumpstarted by homing in on crucial issues and themes in the passages and talking through possible opportunities and issues in preaching the various texts. We’ll aim for Lectionary commentary that is sharp and practical, maybe seasoned with a pinch of snark.

This week is Pentecost and the texts are Ezekiel 37:1-14, Psalm 104:24-37, Acts 2:1-21 and John 15:26-27; 16:4b-15.
