Did you know nearly 40% of the UK population are thought to have a neurodiverse condition, and these are just the ones with a formal diagnosis? Despite neurodiversity awareness and support being on the rise, many employees still hide their condition from their employers, worried that someone will judge them or it may hinder their progression. Kirsty was one of those employees that suffered in silence. She didn’t apply for promotions as she was worried her employer would find out about her dyslexia. When she finally took on a management position, she realised she could not hide her dyslexia anymore and nor did she want to. She discovered that many others were struggling, just like she once was.
