Born in Maryland but soon making scene-stealing turns in several Quentin Tarantino projects such as Kill Bill Vol 2 & Django Unchained -
Laura Cayouette returned to her family roots in New Orleans to be a part of the majesty of one of the world's greatest cities.
A prolific writer - In this fun, candid talk, join us as we discuss The Secret of the Other Mother, the first installment of her Charlotte Reade mystery series, set in the city she loves & calls home.

In this episode we also speak with Actress & life-long humanitarian Shanna Forrestall to bring attention to a very serious situation impacting Louisiana currently with the devastating flooding that needs immediate attention. Go here & scroll down to find out how you can be a Cajun Santa this Holiday Season.

As mentioned above, we have also partnered with the Cajun Relief campaign to bring much needed support and awareness to a drastic situation that has been grossly overlooked. Click on the links & go to www.coatsforcajuns.com & find out how you can get involved & be a Cajun Santa this season

The campaign is spearheaded by Actress & life-long Humanitarian Shanna Forrestall along with Rob Gaudet of Gaudet Media.
For this episode we had the chance to hear first hand from Shanna about this tragedy & how much it's been overlooked is a tragedy within itself.

In this episode (& every episode hereafter as needed) you will hear directly from Shanna & her passion for helping others is not only inspiring, it's infectious. The efforts Shanna & her team are making are for families barely surviving in some of the most devastated areas in our countries history.
Join us, get involved today and be a Cajun Santa!
It's not all bad news Shanna also created and curates the Louisiana Flood Forward Facebook Group that focus solely on positive stories of recovery.

And finally for this action-packed episode, we open with one of my good friends Peter Kaufmann whom I've wanted to have on the show for quite some time. Peter & I have toured the world together & he & his lovely wife Wendy - both life coaches are making a big permanent move to the Big Easy this Spring. So to welcome him to the city, I wanted to get his thoughts, fears & giddy anticipations about uprooting from New Jersey to finally head down south.

Stay tuned as we plan to do a follow up with all three of my guests this week:
Laura on her book series that she hopes becomes a walking tour in New Orleans.
Shanna on the ongoing progress to update you on the relief effort & other ways to get involved.
Pete & Wendy after they get settled in their home state of Louisiana & hopefully we will be doing all three in person surrounded by the sights, sounds & smells of majestic New Orleans.

Till next time, thanks for listening :)
