On this episode recorded on 02/25/2021, RJ Balde talked to Brooks Lustig, COO and co-founder of the cannabis company, Seed & Smith. Brooks talks about how his company has handled the increase in demand for cannabis during the coronavirus pandemic, and uplifting those in the community who have been put out of work because of the pandemic. RJ and Brooks also talk a bit about the company's efforts toward increased sustainability, and more.

Brooks Lustig co-founded Seed & Smith in 2014 and has since used his extensive experience in business growth, cultivation best practices and regulatory compliance to help launch the company into one of the most successful brands on the market. Seed & Smith today is one of Colorado’s most award-winning producers of flower, concentrate, and vapor products and leads the industry in transparency and purity practices.

After a career of coaching and ski patrolling, Brooks co-founded the cannabis brand Kaya in the early days of Colorado’s regulated cannabis market, helping to grow the business from one facility to numerous grow operations and dispensaries. A Colorado native, Brooks developed a commitment to transparency in operations during the Boulder craft beer boom of the 1990s, when brewers would gladly take aficionados behind the scenes to share their processes and knowledge.
