In the Old Testament the promised land was the inheritance but in the New Testament Jesus is our promised land. In the Old Testament God ordained that every 50 years would be a jubilee year for the release and forgiveness of debt. In the New Testament Jesus becomes the jubilee and calls his church to experience forgiveness and release it on a daily basis.
