Always do your homework and plan well in advance and even pay for your vacation in advance. But please do savor those down times and hours and hours in between your planned events. Take time to enjoy some ice cream or get off the beaten path and see something that's not in the travel books. It's always enjoyable to do something that no one else has ever done or that's just a local favorite!
