neurowing: Re: Darryl was wondering who designed Studio Series 86 Hot Rod. Answer is Yuya Onishi. He’s one of the “younger” designers at Takara Tomy. Some of his works are T30 Brainstorm, Siege andEarthRise Optimus Prime, SS 86 HotRod, Kingdom Rodimus Prime, mp21 Bumblebee, mp28 HotRod, and the incoming mps Skids and Reboost. I’m a big fan of his designs. He gives his robots a tall and heroic stature, similar to Braves and Super Robots.
