In this episode, we delve into the topic of nutrition considerations for your young athlete or highly active child/teen. This is by no means an exhaustive discussion, but rather, it is a great introduction to the topic where we set a foundation of some important principles around feeding. These principles apply to parents of children and teens and those with "hobby" athletes all the way to those with more serious aspirations.

We hope after listening to this episode that parents will see the importance of keeping things simple. There is no need to complicate nutrition for our young athletes, even if they are training and competing at a serious level. The foundations will set the stage and cover the bulk of (if not all of) the needs of most children.
