Trick or Treat! Okay, we may be a day late for randomly asking for candy from strangers while dressed up in costumes, but that doesn’t mean this episode is lacking the goodies or the debauchery. We have a jam-packed show for Episode 95, full of Halloween and Hippogriffs, and so much more. There’s cause for celebration, soap boxes to stand on, and plenty of candy to over-indulge in.
Before we get to the actual show, we chat about trick-or-treating on Halloween, the Cubs potentially winning Game 7 of the World Series, and what to expect from the Extra Life 24-hour livestream this weekend! Eventually we start talking about what we know best, and that’s the toys-to-life franchises we love. We celebrate the Lightseekers team reaching their goal on Kickstarter, even though there is still time to pledge to their campaign to help them reach their stretch goals! (Lightseekers Kickstarter campaign). Then we laugh about how awesome the Beasts of Balance team is, especially with their real time ship tracking technology.
Then we break down the upcoming amiibo releases, as well as theorize about the Animal Crossing Direct, and what might be announced during that. We discuss the big reveal of a Hippogriff being included with the Hermoine Granger Fun Pack in LEGO Dimensions, despite only one of us knowing what that even is and why it’s a big deal. And finally, we discuss the release of Skylanders Academy on Netflix, the Legendary Creation Crystals, and the best lineup of variant figures in a Skylanders game to date!
From there, we read the #CommunityQuestion and awarded a listener a cool prize for having the Response of the Week. We skip the Inquire This! segment this week, sadly. And finally, we wrapped up the show with some fantastic emails, as always!
