The final film in animation month is one that Zach seemed to have pulled out of thin air, 1986’s When the Wind Blows. Having never heard of this none of us knew what to expect but we weren’t expecting this. Directed by Jimmy Murakami based on Raymond Briggs’ comic book of the same name, the film stars the voices of John Mills and Peggy Ashcroft and was scored by Roger Waters of Pink Floyd. The film accounts a rural English couple’s attempt to survive a nearby nuclear attack and maintain a sense of normality in the subsequent fallout. Come join us!!
