We had the pleasure of speaking with Kellan James. Kellan started investing in real estate in August, 2016, after completing a Computer Science degree, and saving his income from his full-time job. After living frugally and saving up down-payment funds, Kellan purchased a duplex at age 26 in London, Ontario. While working a full-time job, Kellan took on a couple of value-add properties in London - focusing on the BRRRR investing strategy, with an emphasis on monthly cashflow. He also founded a local investor group called London on FIRE, focused on Financial Independence and Real Estate.
