(May 1, 2020) Derrick and Amanda White moved to the North Country last fall, from eastern Texas, where Derrick's family is.
Amanda is 44 and a disabled veteran, and she wanted to live somewhere less hot and that had four seasons. The couple found a house to rent in Colton and made the move. Derrick, who is 51, jokes that if there's such a thing as blind love, that's what brought him so far north.
