(Jan 28, 2020) Some people love their work - can’t imagine life without it. That’s Jenny Hutchinson. She’s the Museum Educator at the Hyde Collection in Glens Falls, a world-class art collection and museum that includes works by Rembrandt and Botticelli.
But living and working in Glens Fall is not how Jenny imagined her life. Her family moved to Glens Falls in 1990, and she grew up in the area. Jenny refers to the '90s in Glens Falls as a "low-point" - the historic paper mills were gone, population and employment were down. Jenny remembers being sort of confused by and wary of the empty downtown area.
