(May 27, 2020) The contentious rail-trail debate in the Adirondacks may finally see some closure. This month the Adirondack Park Agency approved plans to tear up a rail line between Lake Placid and Tupper Lake to make way for a recreational trail.
The project also involves refurbishing a tourism train line from Tupper down past Old Forge.
