Elizabeth Rose visits the Too Posh Podcast and shares her stories about her 2 divorces. Her first marriage was to her high school sweetheart who she had 2 beautiful daughters with. He happened to be Italian and she shares how they grew apart but had a very civil divorce and were very peaceful for the sake of their daughters.
Her second marriage lasted 10 years and was to a very successful CEO, whose business made the family move from Atlanta to Dallas. This move was very hard for Elizabeth and her 2 girls and it was a huge adjustment. She talks about living a super flashy, celebrity style life, but that she was trapped behind a white picket fence. She lived in a mansion but had no money to go to lunch with her girlfriends. She tells us that this divorce got very ugly.
Then we talk a bit about dating and if Elizabeth likes the dating apps. Then we discuss Elizabeth’s career and being a mortgage lender that specializes in divorced people and Veteran financing. She gives us examples of what can go wrong when you don’t have the correct wording in your divorce paperwork while going through a divorce and how detrimental it can be for everyone’s future. She advises everyone to have a financial expert in your corner, besides an attorney while going through a divorce, because most people make decisions out of emotions and not logic during that time.
