The event is part of the Eastside Winter Market, and part of our big year-end fundraising appeal.

We at Tone Madison have just launched our biggest fundraising appeal yet, and it will run through the last day of the year. Our independent, non-profit publication relies on readers to keep going—your donations accounted for more than 85 percent of our income in 2020, and will remain just as crucial going forward. This year-end campaign will be our first-ever time participating in NewsMatch, a national matching program for independent news outlets. Thanks to NewsMatch, every dollar we raise from readers between November 1 and December 31 is doubled, up to $10,000.

During the campaign, we'll also have our first in-person event in nearly two years: A Saturday, December 11 fundraiser concert at Garver Feed Mill during Communication's Eastside Winter Market. Doors at 7:30 p.m., music at 8 p.m. The show will feature Madison post-punk family band Solid Freex, hip-hop artist L.E.X., DJ Hanna (aka intrepid film writer Hanna Kohn) and DJ Tara.

Tickets are on sale now for $12. If you're a Tone Madison Sustainer, we'll be sending out a discount code for you in the coming weeks. If you're not, you can donate today and become one!

Attendees will need to provide proof of vaccination to enter and will be required to wear masks indoors, lest our own high horse trample us. The indoor space at Garver, for those who haven't been, is enormous, so there will be plenty of room to spread out. We're looking forward to seeing you.
