Living in a Movie and the EP Language, featuring the percussive single "Guitar, Talk, Love & Drums" followed in 1981 and 1983, respectively. Two of his songs, "She Talks in Stereo" and "Time to Win," were used in the 1983 film Valley Girl. "She Talks in Stereo" made the top 100 songs of the decade on KROQ Radio.
