The cousin of Waka Flocka Flame, rapper Frenchie represents Queens, New York, but his music is heavily influenced by the Southern punch of groups like Three 6 Mafia. He got his start rapping in Gucci Mane's posse and releasing a series of underground mixtapes including the Trap-A-Holics-hosted Chicken Room (2009) and the DJ Scream release Yellow Brick Road (2010). His break came in 2013 when he signed to Gucci Mane's label Brick Squad and released the mixtape Long Overdue
