Purple Hyacinth 124: Grievous Gift (with Fwoot and Veronica J)

Bella throws away the note Darcy left for her and quizzes Redcliff out. We analyze Redcliff's overconfidence and speculate how much benevolence there may be beneath his toxicity.  

We also spend a lot of time trying to understand Bella's personality and moral compass. We debate, but all agree that Bella is undergoing some kind of awakening.   

We learn that Bella received her golden viper dagger as a child and that Redcliff is sending Bella to the opera too.  King and Queen talk about how to deal with the Phantom Scythe. The Queen is unsurprising in her violence, but does surprise us with her love for Arthur and ability to concede she is wrong. The King also surprises us with his ability to stand up for himself.  

We learn that Neyra too will be going to the ball, which the Bellarcy fans among us interpret as a Bellarcy date. There certainly will be drama!
