Let’s talk about how to have patience under stress as you build your business. Stress affects all of us! Whether you’re building a business or not, you’ve experienced it and you know about it. Before we go on, let me just clarify that there’s good stress and bad stress. Good stress, for example, is when you put your body through a workout.

Bad stress is when you’re burned out and feel like you need to take a nap for an entire month. It’s when it feels like you’ve been going and going, and it never ends. And that’s what I’ll be talking about today. I’ve been there, and I want to help you learn to have patience, do self-care routines, and slow down as you build this business.

Lots of people want to microwave a business and get it done in four simple steps. But that’s not reality. Building a business takes time, focused intensity, hard work, consistency, and getting a lot of “no”s. So give yourself time, and re-energize yourself during the process! Ready for some ideas on how to do this?

Slow down! Take a nap. Meet a friend for coffee. Take time to do nothing. Play with children in your circle. Listen to relaxing music. Go for a walk. Take a bath.

You can thrive, flourish, and be re-energized, even during seasons of stress and burnout. And you have time for what you prioritize. If you don’t prioritize yourself, of course you’ll never have time!
