As an initial component of the Bakkt offering, Intercontinental Exchange's U.S.-based futures exchange and clearing house plan to launch a 1-day physically delivered BTC contract along with physical warehousing in 2019. This will allow bitcoin to carve the path towards Wall Street and institutional investors, including pension funds, making it potentially a more convenient way for institutional investors to buy and hold actual bitcoin.
