Episode 3: The Shining

Tidal waves of blood. Ghostly apparitions. One man’s descent from slightly creepy writer to axe-wielding madman. For this episode, Adam chose the 1980 horror classic The Shining, one of the first movies that made him ponder long after the credits had rolled. Also a milestone film for Tom, he says that it changed the way he judged good cinema. The movie-themed drink is a shot of whiskey on ice. During the discussion, Emily struggles to give a spoiler-free rant about Game Of Thrones; Adam observes the not-so-moral lessons of A Clockwork Orange; and Tom impersonates Jack Nicholson.
