This week to celebrate International Women's Day, Seb and Verity chat to two great ambassadors for gender equality in the music industry, Letty Stott and Beth Higham Edwards.

Letty and Beth have recently launched their new company Gender and the Large and Shiny Instruments, with the aim of starting open conversations about gender in the workplace. Letty is a French Horn player and Beth a percussionist, both of which are instruments that have not been historically viewed as 'feminine' choices.

They discuss their hugely successful launch and how the company is developing and moving forward. They also share their own personal experiences through educational and professional lives as talk about what can be done to start redressing the balance - in a nutshell, we need to be prepared for some eggy moments!

Inevitably, there are some deviations, including an in-depth critique of hot cross buns from specialist Beth and some plumbing chat with Letty...

Beth and Letty are fascinating, eloquent and positive about the future of the music industry. This conversations leaves lots of food for thought.
