The spring melt is coming before you know it and with that we have to drop the 'F' word. Flooding.
Now, we're not talking about a raging river here, mostly chances of runoff with the spring melt.
Twenty percent of flood insurance claims come from people with homes located outside of areas considered as high-risk, and soon, more of us in Minot will be considered “high-risk” by FEMA risk maps.
As spring nears it's always a good time to evaluate your risk of flooding and if flood insurance is the correct option for you.
