Steel Train was an indie rock band from New Jersey. They met in the mid-1990s at The Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County, New Jersey. Before the band existed, Jack Antonoff and Daniel Silbert were part of the hardcore band Outline and Evan Winiker and Matt Goldman were in the punk band Random Task. After the dissolution of these bands, Steel Train formed in 2002. The band soon signed to Drive Thru Records. they disbanded in 2013 and you probably have heard about what Jack has been up to these days.
