While an average human produces 500 gms of waste each day, Divya Ravichandran deals with just 100gms of waste each year. How does she manage to do this?

Divya is the founder of Skrap, a Mumbai-based environment sustainability startup that helps businesses implement zero waste solutions. She is a passionate advocate of sustainability, low waste living and positive climate action. Divya herself leads a zero-waste lifestyle and discards less than 100 grams of waste in a year.

In this episode, she talks to Gauri about witnessing the devastating aftermath of the Deonar dumping ground fire which inspired her to start Skrap. She also points out how some everyday practices like using multiple paper cups or tissues have contributed to the garbage crisis, how plastic was once a miracle material and is now deemed as the villain, and how some simple lifestyle changes and wise choices can help us reduce our waste.
