Ep 88 - Jason Shapiro, Founder of Los Feliz Daycare, is Here to Help!

Jason Shapiro is a comedy writer/performer who struck gold with a parody account of a fake day care in the hipster-affluent neighborhood of Los Feliz (Editor’s note: I live there lol). Google “Los Feliz Day Care” right now and find his twitter and Instagram account for it. Glorious, very funny, and dead on. As he told me in this episode, the idea came when he was a writer’s assistant. He learned that one of the writers, whose child went to a day care in LF, got a LETTER FOR SENDING THEIR CHILD WITH WHITE BREAD IN THEIR LUNCH. THEIR LUNCH! NOT ONE FOR THE OTHER PARENTS’ KIDS! Lololololol. He took the idea and ran with it, and it’s been going strong since 2014. A new father himself, the account has taken on a new meaning as he navigates parenthood in Los Angeles. It was fun getting to know him on TMH. And, as a special bonus, he came on the show as the founder of LFDC, dreadlock wig and all! He answered the calls both as himself and as his character.
