Ever since the United States ceased to be a colony of the British Empire, immigration has been used as a tool of the ruling class to relegate labor. While xenophobic fears may ignite passionate debate, capitalism is the driving factor in the bipartisan draconian immigration legislation we see to this day.

We’ll discuss capitalism’s role in the United States southern border policy and more.

About Daniel:
Daniel is an attorney and social critic who grew up in diverse cultural and political settings. His experience includes immigration law where he became an ally to progressive movements and organizations seeking migrant liberation. He has several essays published in Areo Magazine and Medium and he currently labors in the public sector to ensure migrant access to justice. He is the son of an immigrant and spent his adolescence with his parents and three brothers in the Dominican Republic. He and his family live in the American southeast.
