This week, Andrew talks with writer/director Jim Towns (House of Bad, Prometheus Triumphant, Immortal Hands) who followed his genre film dreams from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles. Inspired by Universal horror movies and a make-up kit his uncle gave him, Jim created an unusual oeuvre of genre films. From confined horror films of women in lockdown to martial arts shows funded by Wu-Tang Collection and expressionist films shot in abandoned lunatic asylums, Jim Towns has an IMDb that reads like no other.

In Andrew's 5 Big Questions (at the end of the podcast), Jim explains which Japanese character reminds him of himself, engages in Irish wordplay and describes his perfect breakfast.

As always, subscribe to follow us as we work our way through the tips, tricks and set stories of cast and crew working in horror filmmaking.
