So, what is Godliness? Acting in accordance with the nature of God. Preaching Godliness is risky for most pastors, but the Cityview Church congregation hungers for truth … and Pastor Walt gives them truth. Pastor Walt shares that he just knows when he’s connecting with his congregation. They are tuned in and engaged, and regularly give him feedback … both good and bad! The church, as a whole, has done a poor job of connecting our daily lives back to Christ. It’s more about behavior modification … but that’s not Godliness. The ultimate goal is Christ likeness … to be more like Jesus. Godliness does not grant you a relationship with God … a relationship with God grants you Godliness.
