Recycling isn’t just about the blue bin on the curb anymore. People like Melissa and Renee are connecting renewable companies together so that they can recycle on a massive scale, and limit the amount of wasted equipment. Because of them, many companies have developed their own relationships and helped the industry use every last drop of solar power.

Renee Kuehl is the director of sales and marketing for EnergyBin. Melissa Schmid is EnergyBin’s marketing communication manager. EnergyBin is a business-to-business network for solar companies to deal sustainably with their extra stock. They’re here today to talk about their business and the impact of recycling renewable infrastructure.

On this episode of Thinking Green, Mohammed interviews Melissa and Renee about their experience with EnergyBin and renewable energy in general. All three of them have years of experience scaling recycling to the corporate level, and helping both individuals and businesses with their sustainable energy needs. We hear a lot about the first part of the renewable energy cycle, and now Mo is bringing you a chance to hear about the next part--what happens after the equipment is used, and how the aftermath can be sustainable too.

What You’ll Learn:

How EnergyBin came to life, and how it’s impacted the global renewable energy industry Why it’s so important to serve all links of the renewable supply chain to create a successful industry What can be done about the waste that is sometimes produced by renewable energy, and how it can help underprivileged communities worldwide  And so much more!

Favorite Quote:

“Instead of saying “end of life,” we should be saying, “new life.” There is so much equipment that can be reused. We don’t want anything to go to waste.”
