Former Malibu and Marvel Comics editor Roland Mann drops by to talk about declining writing standards in comic books. Roland explains how he initially broke into the comic industry and how much talent acquisition and development has changed. Especially, the rise of comic book adaptations on Netflix and other streaming platforms has lead to a new era of decompressed storytelling that better suits binge streaming rather than episodic, monthly storytelling. Writers have also all but lost their imagination as comics have become storyboard pitches, ditching all the elements that make comic books the best story telling medium in the world.
