13 Days of Hallowtober rolls on as we have been examining post-Night of the Living Dead zombie films! Today I am joined by horror author James Harberson. We take a dive into 1988's Dead Heat starring Treat Williams and Joe Piscopo.

When Detective Roger Mortis (Treat Williams) and his loudmouthed partner Doug Bigelow (Joe Piscopo), try to apprehend robbers that turn out to be zombies, Mortis ends up as one of the undead himself. The detective has 12 hours to track down the villains and try to end their supernatural thievery, before he melts into a pile of mush!
