Bandy Lee is a faculty member of the Law and Psychiatry Division at Yale School of Medicine and Yale University-wide Global Health Studies Program. During her training, she focused on public-sector psychiatry as chief resident and on East Africa as a fellow of the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health. She worked in several maximum-security prisons throughout the United States and consulted with governments on violence prevention programming. She currently teaches students representing asylum seekers and training to become public defenders through Yale Law School and offers a comprehensive course on violence to Yale undergraduate and graduate students. She also served as Director of Research for the Center for the Study of Violence and as speaker to the World Economic Forum.
