Producer Alan Poul talks modernizing Netflix's "Tales of the City".

After tackling the project "Tales of The City" in it's original adaptation in the early 90's, producer Alan Poul has his hand on the project yet again with the Netflix limited series starring Laura Linney and Ellen Page. The show takes off from author Armistead Maupin's series of novels about a group of young individuals living in an apartment complex in San Francisco and how they interacted within the city's queer culture and ultimately formed a family. Today on The Treatment, Poul discusses his ongoing friendships with both Armistead Maupin and Laura Linney and the ways that shaped this revival as well as making sure to adapt the content to reflect the beliefs and representations within queer culture today.
