DJ is all about fan support and what it actually looks like these days.  He talks about his experience with true fans and fandom and how powerful those individuals can be in carrying a band from point to point.  He also has a great deal of appreciation for them and knows just how important they are and is hella annoyed when other bands abuse that or take it for granted - and has plenty to say about it.  He also tries to make the point - again - that the "hype" over what you're putting out isn't the only thing people are looking at, and that if your "actual" product doesn't hold up, it really doesn't matter how much you try and fake it.  DJ also has a really big problem with inflating likes on YouTube and the silliness over at MMC.
