US gymnast Simone Biles is out for the Team USA portion of the Olympics. Unclear yet if she will compete in the individual section on Thursday, July 29.

A fundraiser for the Chesapeake Bay is kicking off on August 27. Bay Paddle will host stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, canoes and any other people-powered water vessels for a 200 mile race from Havre de Grace, MD to Virginia Beach, over the course of eight days.
