The snapping of America's last tie that binds … Episode 1,267

As I sat down to record this, I imagined the shoulder I am about to have surgery on. It is a genetic fact in my family that we get bone spurs that eventually saw through tendons and muscle. I was imagining this process, the back and forth, the sawing through of muscle, and saw how it mirrors what is going on in this country. I think some very important things have already snapped as the "bone spurs" of our nation have sawed through. President Trump is being charged with a new kind of terrorism, which of course, isn't terrorism at all. If he is convicted, I believe this is a "tendon" that will snap. We talk about this trial and members of the jury who should definitely not be allowed. We have to ask the question, what happens when one of the key weightbearing tendons of our society snaps?
