Hawkeyes are a band from Kitchener/Waterloo, made up of 6 musicians.. that’s almost the best description I could make. It’s instrumental music, quasi: experimental, atmospheric.. there’s a reference made to ‘doom’ which is a music-related descriptive word I’d only heard of for the first time in these interviews. Each member of the band is a longtime friend/acquaintance i’ve known through the years via other bands they were in. Hawkeyes however have been THIS unit for quite a few years now already. With six members all present, and me only having three-mics, I talked to Hawkeyes in 3 pairs of 2. It would have been impossible to do an acoustic live performance for the podcast, so we settled on having some GREAT chats, and you have my insistence that their music is friggin’ dynamite, as well as my encouragement to go to their website and have a listen for yourself!

Chat with Hawkeyes recorded at Order of the Ape in Kitchener on November 25th, 2018. Voiceover by Milo Axelrod, theme music by William Chernoff, piano outro by JP Sunga, everything else by Todd Donald. Presented in part, by Afternoon Tea. afternoontealabel.com
