The Thirteenth Hour Podcast #425: Robotech Veritech Bootleg Unboxing and Review

https://archive.org/download/podcast-425/Podcast%20425.mp3

This week on the show, I talking about a robot I found on Aliexpress

If any of you grew up in the 80s and watched the show Robotech, you might recall the first season had an iconic jet that could transform from a plane to a bipedal robot to a hybrid that could hover. One of the Transformers at the time, Jetfire, had basically the same exact design. There were Robotech toys made at the time, but oddly enough, I don’t think they transformed. So if you wanted a Veritech, you had to get a Transformer, and those guys were expensive. They are even more expensive now!  So I recently picked up this bootleg Robotech Veritech fighter and decided to open it and discuss here.  If you were a Robotech fan or ever wanted an original Jetfire Transformer but didn’t have one and don’t want to cough up the exorbitant cost for one now, this is a pretty good option!
