Training Regimes

Welcome to Episode 10 of The Technical Area, a weekly football manager podcast brought to you by Gaffer Graemo.

This week, we’re back to more of our usual content theme with a look at Training Regimes. 12 months ago, we began a new era of FM, an era when Training evolved. Initial enthusiasm quickly waned as the Assistant Manager’s to-do list added another duty.
For those who immersed themselves into the process, there was a rewarding option as theories and schedules were experimented with to interesting levels of development. Manager’s could shape their side’s progress and address weaknesses through a planned and dedicated approach One of these approaches seen around the community was Tactical Periodization, one which I will be championing in this episode. For FM20, I’ll be adopting this approach, rolling up my sleeves and following the theory championed by Portugues coaches like Mourinho, Villas Boas & growing fans like Guardiola
