In this week’s episode, I speak to Greta. Greta is an active member of the diabetes online community, diabetes advocate, musician and a letter board creator. Greta’s letterboards have been widely shared across various social media platforms and accounts. Greta has been living with type 1 diabetes for 16 years.

We spoke about a number of topics including:
The important role her parents view of a type 1 diabetes diagnosis played in her mindset towards type 1 diabetes
Social Media and the diabetes online community - you don’t need to be active to join
How Greta’s letterboards have raised awareness
The impact diabetes has on a womans menstrual cycle
Playing in an orchestra and having type 1 diabetes
