In this week’s episode I speak to Tom Allison. Tom has been living with type 1 diabetes for over 10 years and is a transformation coach and nutritionist for people living with type 1 diabetes. Tom is also the host of the Typeone Movement Podcast. Tom understands the struggles that people living with type 1 diabetes face in managing their condition when it comes to exercise but does not believe this should hold anyone back.

I speak to Tom about:

his diagnosis story and his journey to becoming a coach and nutritionist the importance of accountability when living with type 1
the importance and difficulties of exercise and nutrition when living with type 1 including his pre-workout flowchart that he uses himself and with his clients - You’ll need a note pad for this!
his 5 tips to help people living with type 1 diabetes when it comes to exercise and nutrition - You’ll need a note pad for this too!
navigating diet culture when starting your exercise journey

Tom provides a real insight to both exercise and nutrition and how accountability is important in all aspects when living with type 1 diabetes. I enjoyed this conversation with Tom and find out his answers to This or That answers towards the end of the podcast.
