Both Patrick Mahomes and and Jalen Hurts played lights out in the Super Bowl.
With the Chiefs trailing by 10 at the half, and after Mahomes took a tough hit leading to concerns surrounding his already injured ankle, the NFL's MVP came out and put together one of the most iconic performances in sports history scoring on every possession in the second half en route to victory, earning Mahomes the Super Bowl MVP.
Jalen Hurts was nearly perfect in a record setting Super Bowl performance of his own, his only mistake was a fumble which the Chiefs defense returned for a Touchdown.
The Eagles defense couldn't get a stop in the second half, and after a late borderline holding call benefitted the Chiefs and effectively ended the game, that became the story instead of Hurts getting an opportunity for one last drive to tie or take the lead.
