Come take a walk down main street in Prince Edward County, Ontario.

From the old days of the canning industry, to the present-day tourism boom, Prince Edward County is changing rapidly! We brought our Storymobile to the main streets of Wellington, Bloomfield, and Picton to gather stories from all along the Loyalist Parkway. The people of the county share stories about everything from the Wellington Grill to Angeline's to the Regent Theatre -- and plenty in between!

Special thanks to the Festival Players of Prince Edward County, The Ontario Arts Council, and the Ontario Trillium Foundation for their generous support of our project, and to everyone in Prince Edward County who supported our performance installation and took the time to share their stories.

The Tale of a Town is created and produced by FIXT POINT and developed in collaboration with the National Arts Centre to capture the collective community memory of Canada's main streets -- one story at a time.

This episode was produced by Alison Broverman, and created in collaboration with the artistic team including Krista Dalby and Katie Swift, with original music by Jake Nicoll.
